Man City defender Kompany: Too soon to judge Dzeko - and Chelsea striker Torres

Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany says Edin Dzeko and Chelsea striker Fernando Torres have been judged unfairly.

Kompany believes it will be next season before either club sees their player in top form.

"Torres is one of the best players in the world, there is no doubt about it," he said, "one day he will wake up and he will be dangerous and scoring goals.

"There is no one doubting that his guy will do it for Chelsea at some stage. But if you change in January it is always going to be difficult to adapt. It would have been a miracle if he had done so.

"Edin is the same situation. Even though he has shown very good stuff for us, it is the hardest moment of the season to come into the team and have an impact.

"I know that next season we will get the best out of him, and it's probably the same for Chelsea and Torres."
