Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany has been named Belgian Player of the Year - playing abroad.
The award was organised by Het Laatste Nieuws and saw Kompany win in a landslide vote.
Kompany collected 62 per cent of the vote ahead of Lille star Eden Hazard (23 per cent) and Zenit St Petersburg's Nicolas Lombaerts on 7 per cent.
City defender Kompany has been dubbed the best in England by assistant coach Brian Kidd.
