Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis is chasing firmer club Malaga for money owed.

The Daily Mail says Demichelis is facing a different scenario in his bid to earn what he is owed. The Argentine is taking a court action against his former club Malaga who it is claimed owe him around £300,000 in back wages. Demichelis's representatives said the player himself did not want to speak about the issue.

"He will not make any public declaration so as not to damage the name of the club which deserves his respect - Malaga Club de Futbol," they said.
