Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis expects to start tonight against former club Bayern Munich.
The top spot in their Champions League group is up for grabs.
"Manuel (Pellegrini) has shown what he can achieve in the Champions League," said Demichelis. "I think now we're on a really good path. We're growing every day and every game and have a great future with him.
"We want revenge from the first game. A lot can happen in football. It's difficult to win here but we can do that. It's difficult to say what their weak points are, but we have to play with real fire in our stomachs.
"We're playing against best team in the Champions League, that's why we have to really play well. Thank God we have already achieved our target that we've reached the knockout stages.
"Of course it will be a very important occasion for me - I played here for seven-and-a-half years. It will be a very emotional day for me in my career and my life.
"I still have contact with a few players like Schweinsteiger, Muller and Pizarro. I experienced a lot with them. Tomorrow will be a special occasion for me."
