Manchester City right back Danilo says that his side knew exactly how they were going to ensure they emerged from their FA Cup tie victorious.

City managed a 2-0 win over the Cardiff side, and they were dominant throughout the game. Danilo spoke about how possession was the key to his side's win.

"We knew how Cardiff play so there were no surprises," he said.

"Teams can't hurt you if they don't have the ball so we are happy.

"It was important to get an early goal and fortunately, Kevin scored a great free-kick to give us the lead.

"We were disappointed Bernardo's goal didn't stand but we scored again through Raheem to make it difficult for Cardiff to recover.

"We cannot choose who we play in the next round so we will wait and see. Championship clubs have a different way of playing as we've seen three times this season but we are happy to play anyone. "For now, we will just focus on our next Premier League game against West Brom and try to keep winning games."
