Manchester City defender Dedryck Boyata is determined to come good for Bolton Wanderers.
The defender has been used as a full-back since arriving on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
But centre-back Boyata admits it has taken him time to adapt to his new position.
"The only time I have played regularly at right-back is here at Bolton," he told the Bolton News. "Even last year at City when they had some big players at centre-half, I would play there in the cup games.
"Now I am playing right-back in these big games. Of course, I have a preference but if I can help the team by playing there, centre-half or right wing, I'll do it.
"When I go back to Belgium I am playing at centre-half. Playing full-back is something I have to learn but I don't have any issue with that. It is part of the game."
