Manchester City crock Benjamin Mendy is adamant he can play again this season.

The France international suffered a knee injury earlier this season, but insists he can make this summer's World Cup.

"It's better, I'm in full rehabilitation," Mendy said of his recovery.

"I resumed training and with the ball last week. At the end of May (to be part of the list for the World Cup)? It's not hope, I'll be there."

Mendy must overcome Layvin Kurzawa (PSG) and Lucas Digne (Barcelona) for a place in coach Didier Deschamps' France squad.
