Manchester City are in the frame for Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

The Scotland goalkeeper was omitted from the home team for last night's Edinburgh derby, and instead is understood to have travelled to the north-east of England for talks with Sunderland manager Roy Keane. He is then expected to move on to a meeting in Birmingham with Martin O'Neill, the Villa boss. Manchester City were also reported to be weighing up a bid.
