Manchester City are reportedly prepared to pay £56million for Kevin De Bruyne.
According to the Daily Mirror, the early Premier League pacesetters are willing to splurge the aforementioned fee on the Belgian attacking midfielder as they look to put the finishing touches on their title-chasing squad.
De Bruyne, 24, has constantly been linked with a move to City this summer with varying reports suggesting a fee of anywhere between £40m and £50m but it is believed that the 2014 English champions may go even higher.
If these recent reports are anything to go by, City will splash out £88m late in the summer transfer window for De Bruyne and Argentine defender Nicolas Otamendi who is being heavily linked with a £32m move to the Etihad Stadium.
