Manchester City remain keen on Uruguay defender Sebastian Coates.
Rome sources say Lazio face missing out on the Nacional de Montevideo stopper with City about to launch a bid for the 21 year-old.
It's suggested City have already made contact with Nacional and are willing to offer €11 million for Coates.
The Uruguay international will have no problem gaining a UK work permit after helping his country win the Copa America this summer.
