Manchester City have signed Aaron Mooy from sister club Melbourne City FC.
The 25-year-old midfielder has penned a three-year deal with the Premier League giants having emerged as one of the best players in his position in the A-League.
Australia international Mooy joins City after spending the last two years in Melbourne, following an 18-month spell with Western Sydney Wanderers.
“Aaron is an extremely talented player who possesses the attributes we hope to foster and encourage within the City Football Group," said City Football Group's managing director Brian Marwood.
“With the unique model CFG provides, Aaron's move to Manchester allows us to further expose him to a high standard of opportunities to ensure his professional growth."
It appears highly likely that former Bolton Wanderers and St Mirren man Mooy will be loaned back to City for the 2016/17 A-League season, just as Manchester has done with Luke Brattan and Anthony Caceres.
We can confirm @AaronMooy has signed with @MCFC, @caceresa10 & @lukebrattan sign on loan.
