Manchester City have confirmed they are interested in Barcelona right-back Dani Alves.

The Eastlands club are aware that the Brazilian is yet to sign a new contract at the Nou Camp and it is believed that they are prepared to pay big money for his services.

The 27-year old joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008 for £36million so the Catalan club would want a figure close to that if they were to sell.
