Manchester United have joined the race for Feyenoord midfielder Rodney Kongolo.

The teenage midfielder has been the subject of serious interest from Manchester City this season and is understood to have visited their facilities.

However, Algemeen Dagblad says United are also interested in Kongolo, who has been likened to City chief Patrick Vieira.

However, City are in advanced talks to wrap up a January deal for Kongolo.
