Manchester City are planning a bid for Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli.

The People says Inter have let it be known that they are willing to off-load the £15million-rated forward and City are keen to do business.

Mentor City boss Roberto Mancini, who gave Balotelli his debut at Inter and was a mentor to the player, is urging his club to take the plunge.

Arsenal and Tottenham have both shown interest in Balotelli in the past but have baulked at Inter's asking price. Filthy-rich City will have no problem coming up with the cash.
