Manchester City are chasing Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben. The People says former Chelsea winger Robben, 25, would cost at least £16million - £8m less than Real paid two seasons ago - when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.

Real Madrid will have a firesale of stars - including Robben - as they plan to fund a new bid for AC Milan star Kaka.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is also keen on Robben, though the Dutchman's performance at Anfield in the Champions League has given him second thoughts.
