Manchester City are watching Benfica midfield pair Axel Witsel and Javi Garcia.
City boss Roberto Mancini sent assistant manager David Platt to Lisbon on Monday to see Sporting Lisbon defeat Benfica.
Platt was making a check on Witsel and Javi Garcia as Mancini seeks to add to his midfield for next season.
