Man City coach Platt has sympathy for Reading

Manchester City assistant coach David Platt felt for Reading after victory yesterday.

Gareth Barry scored City's winner in injury time when he rose above Nicky Shorey to head in.

Platt said: "Looking at it live I looked at the referee and I thought he could have given a foul. Bu having looked at it on the replay I'm not too sure it is. I think Gareth gets up early and his momentum takes him up there.

"I can feel sympathy for the opposition manager because they have conceded a goal in the last minute after having defended so much."
