Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has been told it's time to prove himself.
Kidd reckons it is time for Balotelli to put his troubles behind him and hit the goal trail.
He said: "Mario had that wee problem with his knee and it appears everything has been sorted now. He's another great talent.
"We're blessed with good players and I think we've got a really good squad, no doubt about it.
"Carlos has always stepped up to the plate - and he's a fantastic player.
"But if you go through the clubs who have been successful, invariably they've had four strikers who will be competing for places."
