Manchester City chiefs were in Valencia yesterday for high-level talks.
AS says City chief Garry Cook was among the delegation which met with Valencia president Manuel Llorente to discuss a range of matters, including their midfielder David Silva.
Llorente confirmed City's interest in Silva last month and after a previous scheduled meeting was postponed, the two parties came together yesterday to discuss the Spain star.
Silva's first-choice is to stay in Spain with Real Madrid, but City's spending power has them as a genuine alternative.
Llorente informed Cook that Valencia were prepared to sell Silva for £30 million.
