Manchester City chief Txiki Begiristain has played down talk of moving for AS Monaco fullback Layvin Kurzawa.
The youngster was linked with City amid talk of being invited to a Champions League tie at the Etihad. Arsenal's French scout Gilles Grimandi made a check on Kurzawa last month.
"Kurzawa? I have not had any meetings about him," insisted Begiristain.
"I am not talking of possible transfers or what others say. We are very strong in this area, we have Gael Clichy and Aleksander Kolarov.
"We are very well in this position."
