Man City chief Marwood slams AC Milan over Tevez pursuit

Manchester City chief Brian Marwood has blasted AC Milan over their public pursuit of Carlos Tevez.

City are unhappy with Milan's attempts to do business through the media.

Marwood told Sky Sports News: "Well, the position hasn't changed. They (AC Milan) came to us with a loan option, which was something we rejected and that still stays the same.

"Clearly Milan have decided to conduct their business through the media. That's something we choose not to do and will continue not to do and things haven't changed. Carlos Tevez is still a Manchester City football player."

And when asked if Marwood expects Tevez to still be a City player come February 1st, he said: "I don't know. It's a situation everybody is aware of.

"He's made his desire to leave the football club. The club have gone on record to say they will consider that and it just really depends on us receiving something that is acceptable to Manchester City.

"That's no different to where we were before and that will not change and we'll have to see what the next three to four weeks brings.

"You know there's more clubs than just AC Milan interested in Carlos Tevez so if they choose to wait until the end of the window then they may pay that price if other clubs come in before them."
