Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger is interesting Manchester City.
Ranger is an England U19 international and tasted first team action this season under manager Chris Houghton.
The People says City top man Brian Marwood has been to St James' Park to run the rule over Ranger.
The youngster moved to Newcastle after falling out with Southampton two years ago.
