Edinson Cavani was remaining quiet regarding his future after Uruguay's Confederations Cup third-place playoff loss to Italy on Sunday.

The Napoli star has been heavily linked with Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid in recent months but he refused to be drawn on what his future holds after he and his Uruguayan teammates were beaten in a penalty shootout by Italy following his two goals in the 2-2 regular time draw.

"Everything I say at the moment could be misunderstood, so I prefer not to talk about the future," he told Rai TV.

"I'm going on holiday with my family and then I will come back to Italy to consider the whole situation."
