Luka Modric is staying with Dinamo Zagreb.

The biggest deal of the Premier League's January transfer window stalled last night when the 22-year-old Croatia star opted to stay at Dinamo Zagreb until the summer.

His ultimate destination looks likely to be Barcelona after Chelsea and Manchester City balked at the £18million demanded by Zagreb president Zdravko Mamic.

Modric knows Barcelona are likely to come in for him in the summer to replace Deco, while Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also interested.
