Olympique Lyon teenager Miralem Pjanic is wanted by Manchester City.
The Sun says City chief Mark Hughes will check out the midfielder when the French side visit Liverpool in a fortnight.
Lyon coach Claude Puel said: "The idea is not to sell unless a big offer arrives."
But Bosnian ace Pjanic, 19, said: "I am happy that other clubs are showing an interest."
Lyon rate Pjanic in the £5 million class - well within City's budget.
