Manchester City are weighing up a move for Atalanta midfielder Tiberio Guarente.
Guarente is viewed as an alternative to McDonald Mariga, who signed for Inter Milan only after he was denied a January move to City due to a failed work permit application.
Guarente's agent says City are among the clubs chasing the highly rated 24-year-old.
