Manchester City chairman Thaksin Shinawatra says a deal for CSKA Moscow striker Jo Alves has been locked away.

He told the Daily Mail: "He will cost a lot of money.

"But he is fast, he is a goalscorer; he will be special and a very good player in the Premier League."
