Man City chairman Thaksin jetting in for Eriksson talks

Manchester City chairman Thaksin Shinawatra will hold talks with manager Sven Goran Eriksson on the weekend.

The Telegraph says Thaksin, the former Thailand prime minister, was due to return to England last night after spending time in the Far East, during which he cast doubt over Eriksson's position by revealing that he would be 'reviewing' the situation at the end of the season. Thaksin is expected to arrive in Manchester on Saturday.

Eriksson has publicly expressed confidence that he will remain at the helm and he is due to discuss summer transfer targets, with Bolton's El-Hadji Diouf understood to be on his list, when he meets Thaksin.
