Manchester City chairman Thaksin Shinawatra has employed the Bell Pottinger agency to handle his Press relations.

The PR firm have already worked with City once before - until last December - and will return to Eastlands for a second stint until the end of July, leaving Head of Communications Paul Tyrrell to worry about only football-related matters, says the People.

Tyrrell is well thought of by the Brits in the boardroom and has been assured there is no threat to his position.
