Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak insists any new signings must be better than what they have.
Al Mubarak said any new arrivals will have to be high quality players to enable them to have any chance of finding a way into Guardiola's remarkable side.
“Any additions have to improve the squad," said Al Mubarak. “This is my biggest learning from the years of chairing this club.
“When winning, bringing new players in is a very important decision, because you have a winning formula that's just won. Whatever you're going to add has to be a decision you don't take very lightly at all.
“You have to bring in players that will strengthen, improve and add competition to the squad."
