Man City captain Toure admits Yaya could have joined Arsenal

Manchester City captain Kolo Toure admits he and brother Yaya could have been playing together at Arsenal.

It has taken almost a decade for the brothers to achieve their ambition of becoming team-mates.

Separated by just two years, they are part of a golden generation of Ivory Coast stars who emerged from the ASEC Mimosas academy in Abidjan.

Kolo told the Sunday Mirror: "Yaya came to Arsenal for a trial a few years ago and nearly signed.

"He spent pre-season with us that year and I think he already knows what to expect.

"As his brother I will tell him a few tricks, but I think he is a top player. He has played some amazing games in his career and I think he is ready.

"His physical power will be an asset in the Premier League. But not only that, he has great technique as well. He definitely has better technique than me."
