Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could be changing boot sponsors.

Kompany has been sponsored by New Balance for the past three years - but has raised questions over that deal by his decision to change his footwear to Adidas in his most recent appearances, says the Manchester Evening News.

And he sparked fresh doubt about his future with New Balance after refusing to explain the change of footwear since his comeback.

Asked about it before Tuesday's Champions League semi final first leg against Real, the centre back said: “I don't think that is something I can comment on for now."

When pressed on whether he was switching to Adidas, he again refused to comment.
