Robinho sees Man City as achieving his long term aim of becoming the world's best player. The Brazilian joined City in a record-breaking £32.5million deal from Madrid.

"I hope to play here for many years," the 24 year old told the Daily Star Sunday.

"I hope to make history at this club and become one of the great heroes at Manchester City. I'm in a very good phase and I hope this will continue."

Robinho has already grabbed seven goals for City, having set himself an ambitious target of 30 this season.

"I'm enjoying it here, and my aim is to become the best player in the world," he said.

"I hope I can do that here."
