Man City boss urges Bianchi to ignore Italy lure

Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is urging Rolando Bianchi to resist interest from Torino and Roma ahead of the January market.

Eriksson said: "I think it's fair because I don't think he complained. He works very hard and he wants to come back and play in the team again.

"He was one of the top scorers in Serie A last year and he was playing for the Under-21s some years ago and expected to take the step up to the senior team.

"So of course he's disappointed and I understand his frustration completely. He's been unlucky with some injuries as well so that doesn't help his situation.

"But no-one has lost faith in him. He is very popular and I know he wants to come back and score goals for us."
