Man City boss to stick with attacking principles

Mark Hughes will retain Manchester City's attacking style in a bid to improve results away from Eastlands. "We now need to improve away from home which is the one thing that is holding us back at the moment. That is where our focus must be" he said.

"We have been guilty of maybe letting the opposition take the initiative. But we must continue to be attack minded on our travels" he continued.

"We can't really shackle Robinho, Craig Bellamy, Stevie Ireland and Shaun Wright-Phillips too much because they have a real passion for the game and love for it and they try to make things happen."

"Craig is as sharp as a tack at the moment. He is playing at the top of his form, is free of injuries and is very confident. He is a better Craig Bellamy to the one I had at Blackburn" revealed Hughes.

"The balance of the side is coming around to the way I would want it, but it will still take time" he said. "We are better equipped now than we were to get results away from home."

"Having said that, a number of the players have still only had a handful of games with us and by the end of the season I think everyone will see the difference and what kind of understanding can be created."

"There are good signs, there is no doubt about that. I am very positive about what we can achieve between now and the end of the season" he said.
