Man City boss Pellegrini on Wembley visit: I hope the fans are kinder!

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini hopes fans are kind to him at Wembley tomorrow.

During last season's FA Cup final, City supporters, angered by the treatment of Roberto Mancini, chanted 'You can shove Pellegrini up your ****' to leave people in no doubt as to where their loyalties lay.

Ahead of the Capital One Cup showpiece, Pellegrini was asked about what he was hoping for against Sunderland: "Well I hope at least the songs! I know what happened last year, but I think Mancini deserved the support of the fans because he won the title here for the first time in 44 years.

"Everyone knows how passionate the Manchester City fans are, so I give my congratulations to their support.

"But also I felt that from the moment I arrived here they accepted what the club did and I think they are very happy with the team this year, the way we play and to be again in another Final.

"So I am absolutely sure that all the supporters of Manchester City will back our team and be supporting the whole match."
