Man City boss Pellegrini urges homegrown Richards to stay

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is desperate not to lose homegrown defender Micah Richards.

The Manchester Evening News says Richards has already been hard at work at Carrington, making up for the time he lost through two major injuries last season.

And Pellegrini will tell him he sees him as an integral part of the squad, not just for his ability but also because - after 12 years at City - he epitomises the strong sense of identity the manager wants to build.
