Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini took aim at Chelsea's Jose Mourinho after winning the title. Pellegrini could not resist a final day dig at Chelsea boss Mourinho and his own predecessor Roberto Mancini.
Portuguese coach Mourinho and his team came away with a smash-and-grab 1-0 win at The Etihad in February and Mancini also earned criticism for closing out games rather than going for more goals during his time at the club.
"It is easy to score and go behind the ball and be a team that counter-attacks, because we have the players who have the technique to do that," said Pellegrini.
"But for me it is not the right way to win titles and I wouldn't be happy to do it that way.
"This season we have the record number of goals here in England (156 in all competitions) and we have played to make the most of the qualities of the players we have."
