Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini plans to blank today's Champions League pre-match media conference.
Pellegrini is serving a two-match touchline ban for comments he made about referee Jonas Eriksson after his team's 2-0 first leg defeat to Barcelona at the Etihad Stadium.
Concerned that he will face too many questions about his conduct after the first game, Pellegrini has decided to stay away tonight and will instead send assistant Brian Kidd to speak to the media, says the Daily Mail.
City captain Vincent Kompany will be in attendance also but Pellegrini may be fined for his absence as UEFA like coaches to speak to the press before and after each game in European competition.
