Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is unsure about rumours linking coach Patrick Vieira to Olympique Marseille.

Vieira, the head coach of City's elite development squad, has also been touted as a potential candidate for Pellegrini's job.

The Frenchman does look to have the credentials to become a top-flight manager and has recently been linked with Marseille.

Pellegrini said: "Patrick is doing very good work here. He must decide his future. I don't know about that so I can't tell you but Patrick is working well and is very important here."
