Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini wants his team top of the table before the New Year.
Pellegrini has told them bluntly they must sort out their horrific away form if they are to achieve the goal he is demanding.
"Yes, I have told the players that I would like to arrive at the New Year in first place, but I will tell you after this coming week is over if we can achieve that," he explained.
"We have two very difficult away games and we will know more after those. I was very pleased because we beat a strong team in Swansea, but West Brom away [on Wednesday] is the tough challenge.
"We hope now we can start winning away from home - we have to do that - but I have a lot of trust in this team, and I believe we have deserved to win some away games we have lost."
