New Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has left the club's pre-season tour of South Africa.
The former Malaga boss has returned to his homeland of Chile for family reasons and is not expected to return before City heads to Hong Kong on Sunday.
However, City hope that Pellegrini is back in charge ahead of the Barclays Premier League Asia trophy which kicks off with a clash against South China on Wednesday before a meeting with either Tottenham or Sunderland next weekend.
