Man City boss Pellegrini keen on Fluminense striker Fred

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen on Brazil striker Fred.

The Mail on Sunday says Fluminense striker Fred, who will lead his country's attack in Sunday night's Confederations Cup final against Spain, is now being viewed as a possible replacement for Carlos Tevez, who joined Juventus last week.

Fred, 29, scored in Brazil's 2-2 draw against England earlier this month and also netted twice against Italy in the current World Cup warm-up event that concludes on Sunday evening.
