Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is out of their clash with QPR.
The injury to Kompany gives a chance to £32million summer signing Eliaquim Mangala, who has had poor reviews since becoming the Premier League's most expensive defender.
"He has not played so well in some games but I'm sure he will be an important player for this club," said City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
"I remember the criticism (Martin) Demichelis had, now it is the same for Mangala."
