Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini rates Sergio Aguero ahead of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
Aguero, 25, has bagged 11 goals in 13 Premier League games for City this season - while Uruguayan Suarez tops the charts with 13, having returned from suspension in September.
"I have said before that he is the best player in the Premier League and, of course, I still think that," he said.
"There may be better strikers - but not better players. Yes, he is the most complete player and he is improving.
"He and Suarez are different players. Suarez is a very important striker - but I think Sergio has more parts to his game.
"He is getting better as he gets older. For me a player performs at his best between 24 and 30 years old.
"He started very young and every year he is improving.
"This year, the best thing he has been doing is scoring goals - but he's added the work without the ball."
