Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is happy to quietly introduce himself to Blues fans.

For victory over Newcastle United on Monday, there was no waving to the crowd from the centre circle and certainly no donning of a City scarf in the style of his predecessor Roberto Mancini.

And the former Real Madrid and Malaga boss, who takes his side to newly-promoted Cardiff this afternoon, said: “The best way for me to introduce myself was the way the team played.
