Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen to avoid any public row with Chelsea rival Jose Mourinho before Sunday's powderkeg clash.
Both men are former Real Madrid managers.
"I don't know him. He worked in Spain, I worked in another club and we played Real Madrid against Malaga. Nothing more, I don't have any complaint about him," Pellegrini said.
"Are we very different characters? Maybe we have a different way of thinking about life.
"I have never got involved in mind games and I will not get involved now.
"Of course it is an important match, it is always important playing against a team that has a chance to win the Premier League.
"I repeat the same thing I said when we played against Manchester United, it is a match of six points. They play at home, this is our third game playing away in a week.
"We hope we can continue winning the same as the other two games.
"I don't think it is a marker for the title because it is only the ninth game and we have a lot of games in the future. It is an important game but it will not decide nothing."
