Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is delighted to have Vincent Kompany back for their Champions League opener at Viktoria Plzen.
The Belgium ace has been sidelined since damaging his groin on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
Pellegrini said: "Vincent worked with us normally over the last two days. We will see tomorrow if he is 100 per cent and speak with the doctor, but if he is fit, of course he will play, but we will see tomorrow.
"He is a very important player for us. He has been injured for a month and, except the game at Cardiff, the defence did very well in the other three games without him. But it will be great to have him back."
