Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is tightlipped over offering new terms to Yaya Toure.
Toure's agent Dimitri Seluk claimed last week that the 31-year-old wanted to end his career with the Premier League champions and eventually go on to run the club.
When asked about Seluk's comments, the Chilean said: "That means that Yaya's very happy here.
"He's a player who has a lot of criticism this year, always thinking that he wants to go, but what you are telling me is just the opposite."
On his future, Pellegrini added: "He's very happy here. He's an important player for us so we will see what will happen in the future."
