Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini regards Nigerian rookie Kelechi Iheanacho as a key member of his squad this season.

It is clear that Pellegrini believes Iheanacho is ready to make an impact this season.

“We have Kelechi, a very good striker," he said. "He's a young player who needs an opportunity to demonstrate how he can play.

“I have a lot of trust in his performance.

“I don't think we need anybody else in that position."
